Elizabeth Fradd is an independent health service adviser.
Until April 2004 she was Nurse Director and lead for the Review and Inspection programme in the Commission for Health Improvement (CHI). Previously she was Assistant Chief Nurse in the Department of Health.
Elizabeth has honorary doctorates from Wolverhampton, Nottingham and Birmingham City University, and holds honorary professorships at two of them. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Nursing and the Queen’s Nursing Institute. She is also an honorary Fellow of the faculty of Public Health and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
In 2009 she was awarded the DBE for services to nursing and healthcare. She is Vice President of Nottingham University.
