Vicky lives in Nottingham and was the Accountable Officer for both NHS Nottingham West and Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Groups until October 2017. Her previous roles include Senior Nurse/Midwife for Public Health, General Manager for Principia, Partners in Health and Director of Health Improvement and Planning for Rushcliffe Primary Care Trust.
In the 1980’s Vicky qualified as a registered midwife, general nurse, and family planning nurse before attaining an MSc in Health Care Policy and Organisation in 1994. She has a proven track record of innovative and effective delivery at Board and Chief Executive level. She was a Trustee of The Queen’s Nursing Institute from 2006 until 2015, is currently a fellow of the of The QNI, and a co-opted member of the audit and risk committee at Nottingham University.
Vicky has served on national bodies and was also appointed by the Secretary of State for Health in England and Wales to be a member of the NHS Future Forum as co-chair of the Public Health group, which produced recommendations which resulted in legislative changes between 2011 and 2012.
