Michael is a country GP and Senior Partner at the Culm Valley Integrated Centre for Health (NHS GP Practice) in Cullompton, Devon.
He is Chair of the College of Medicine, National Clinical Champion for Social Prescription (NHS England) and Medical Advisor to HRH The Prince of Wales.
He has Visiting Professorships at UCL and Westminster University, London, is Honorary Senior Fellow in Public Policy at HMSC Birmingham, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Integrated Health at Peninsula Medical School.
He was Chair of NHS Alliance for 18 years (until 2016) and past President of NHS Clinical Commissioners.
