We are delighted to be collaborating with the Centre of Sustainable Healthcare on a series of three hour-long webinars designed to enlighten, educate and equip nurses working in the community with the skills and knowledge to understand the climate crisis, how it relates to healthcare and provide them with the practical methods and examples of applying sustainability through quality improvement.

Our final webinar on sustainable healthcare will explore different relevant case studies of SusQI in the community and other relevant project examples, discuss barriers and enablers to this, and explore the next steps.

Speakers:
- Dr Ayoma Ratnappuli, Education Fellow
Ayoma is an HIV/Genitourinary Medicine specialist registrar who has taken a year out of training to take up the post of Sustainable Quality Improvement Education Fellow 2023-24 at the Centre for Sustainable Health. Ayoma will be working alongside the team to embed and spread SusQI (Sustainability in Quality Improvement) into undergraduate and postgraduate education.
- Sarah Jordan
Sarah’s background is in environmental psychology, exploring the relationship between people and our natural environment. She has experience at a director level in both environmental and healthcare organisations, formerly as one of the founders and director of Hope for the Future, a climate and nature communications charity that supports communities to influence and achieve change. Sarah is passionate about the need for environment and healthcare sectors to work together for the benefit of people and our planet.
- Dan Loveard
Dan is an experienced community lead having spent a decade managing and delivering a diverse range of environmental and health projects across the UK. He comes to us from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust where he played an active role both operationally and strategically in bringing about nature’s recovery and connecting people from all walks of life with nature.
