Dr Crystal Oldman receives CBE

QNI Chief Executive Dr Crystal Oldman received her CBE award from Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace on 14 November.

Crystal receives the award – announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours – for services to community nursing and to the QNI.

Dr Oldman commented:

‘I am absolutely honoured to have received the CBE award from the Queen today.

‘We spoke about nursing in the community today and the 130th anniversary of the QNI celebrated this year.

‘Her Majesty said she thought the QNI was doing very important work and it was wonderful to hear this from our Patron.

‘It’s also great recognition of the vital role community nurses play in delivering health care to people and in supporting carers, families and communities everywhere.’
