QNI creates fund to support community nurses affected by Storm Christoph
22 January 2021
Community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) has opened a fund to support community nurses who have been affected by the recent flooding.
The charity is offering up to £500 to any affected nurse who works in the community, including general practice nurses, district nurses, care home nurses, school nurses, health visitors and others.
To receive the funds, nurses will need their manager’s verification that they are currently working as a nurse in the community and that they have been impacted by the flood.
The flooding in the wake of storm Christoph has so far affected Manchester and Cheshire.
Storm Christoph has created havoc in some part of the UK and we are delighted to be able to help community nurses who have been affected by it with this new fund.
Justine Curtis, Grants OfficerAny community or primary care nurse who has been affected by the floods is urged to email justine.curtis@qni.org.uk for more information about how to access the funds.
