27 October 2023
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) has opened a fund to support community nurses who have been affected by the recent flooding.
The flooding in the wake of the recent storms has affected many parts of the UK, and some counties have declared major incidents in response.
The QNI is offering grants of up to £500 to any Registered Nurse from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, who has been severely affected by the flooding .
Eligibility
To be eligible:
- you must be a Registered Nurse
- you must work in the community, including general practice nurses, district nurses, care home nurses, school nurses, health visitors and others
- you will need your manager’s verification that you are currently working as a nurse in the community and that you have been impacted by the flood
- you need to be based in England, Wales or Northern Ireland
This grant scheme has now closed (27 November 2023) but may be reinstated if similar conditions recur.
