On Saturday 13 May 2023, Matthew Bradby, the QNI’s Head of Communications, is opening his garden in London to the public, to raise funds for nursing and caring charities.

This is the fourth year that Matthew has opened his garden as part of the National Garden Scheme, which was founded by the QNI in 1927.  The scheme now supports a growing number of healthcare charities including the QNI.

Refreshments will be available. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 13 May!

Details of the garden

Diverse 40 metre plot with contrasting areas. Ornamental garden dominated by large weeping willow giving shade over fan palms, camellias, ferns and climbers. Fruit and herb garden including Japanese banana, grapevine, olive, bay tree. Greenhouse with succulent plants. Two nature ponds. Mainly organic, this is a very tranquil and welcoming garden.

Opening your garden is one of the most rewarding types of fundraising you can do. I'm never going to run the London Marathon, but getting your garden ready for an open day takes a lot of preparation, with all the weeding, pruning, mowing and nurturing that goes on in the months leading up to it. Visiting an open garden is fun and relaxing, and I'd like to welcome you on 13 May. Cross your fingers for good weather.
