Sally Wells was awarded the QNI Innovation Award in 1998 and received the 100 Distinguished Community Nurses in 2000.
Sally trained at the Hammersmith Hospital and staffed on a children’s cardiac and general ward before moving to Kingston hospital for a short time then in to Practice Nursing. Having spent the last 24 years as a Respiratory Nurse in General Practice with time spent as a Regional Trainer for the National Respiratory Training Centre (now Education for Health) and a lead member of the South Thames Research Network.
Sally now works as a Respiratory Nurse Specialist for Virgin Care both in the community and hospital and in General Practice. Sally became a Fellow of the QNI in 2001 and sits on the Welfare committee.
