Fiona Ross has a background in district nursing and social policy and has worked as a practitioner, teacher, research leader and senior manager over a 35 year career in higher education.
She was executive Dean of Kingston University and St George’s, University of London’s Joint Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education and recently had a national role as Director of Research at the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. She is a leading researcher in her field and has published widely on organisational change, care of older people, public engagement, collaborative practice, leadership and equalities in health services and higher education. Currently Fiona is a part time research Professor at Kingston and St George’s, a member of REF2021 Equality and Diversity Advisory Panel, an independent governor at Westminster University and Chair of the Board of trustees at Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. She was awarded a CBE for services to nursing and higher education in the 2015 New Year’s Honours List.
