Masterclass: Using Quality Improvement and Audits to Enhance Care (recording)

This free 1-hour research masterclass is part of a series of events by the QNI’s Community Nursing Research Forum and is open to all community nurses interested in research.
This presentation on quality improvement in healthcare begins with a contextual overview of why quality improvement is essential in healthcare environments, defining what it means and considering the principles of embedding it into clinical practice. There is an exploration of the different approaches to QI including audit and service evaluation with key tips on how to get started, where to get support from and finally some examples of QI projects will be provided for discussion.
About the speaker
Dr Carolyn Lees is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool and a Queen’s Nurse. She has a background in community nursing and then practice development and quality standards before an academic career at Sheffield Hallam University, Liverpool John Moore’s University and now the University of Liverpool.
