Pippa qualified as a Registered Nurse at St Thomas’ Hospital in 1978 and undertook clinical work in acute and community settings for several years.

From 1993-1997 Pippa was Director of The Queen’s Nursing Institute, during which time the Innovation Award Scheme and the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Award for Outstanding Service were established.

Pippa was founding editor of The British Journal of Community Health Nursing. She has held chief executive positions in the NHS and voluntary sectors, senior civil servant positions in the cabinet office and department of health, and led transformational change programmes across England.

Pippa is now working as a specialist in health and social care reform and has undertaken senior executive roles in Australia, the Middle East and the UK.

She provides coaching and mentoring to student and registered nurses.
