Professor Serrant is a Queen’s Nurse and QNI Fellow.
She is the regional Head of Nursing for the North East and Yorkshire and Professor of Nursing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
A specialist in sexual and reproductive health, she has worked with sex workers, alcohol and drug dependent individuals and tackling attitudes towards HIV.
She is a former chair of the BME Strategic Advisory Group for NHS England
