We have published a collection of twenty remarkable stories, written by nurses and edited by Suzanne Gordon.

The stories describe the real work that community nurses carry out in all sorts of settings, delivering outstanding care in or closer to people’s homes.

The book is the result of a collaboration between The QNI and author, speaker and activist Suzanne Gordon, who worked with the nurses to develop their stories at a workshop in 2019 and subsequently online over several months.

Please note, the names of all people mentioned in the stories have been changed, to ensure confidentiality.

Most of the stories in the book were written by Queen’s Nurses.

We are delighted that the Queen’s Nurse network in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is entirely supported by The National Garden Scheme.

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,600 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities.
